Farnborough International Airshow 2024
Every two years, the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) brings together global professionals from the aerospace, aviation, and defense sectors to showcase, demonstrate, and unveil the latest advancements and innovations. The event’s platform, organized around six core themes—space, defense, sustainability, innovation, future flight, and workforce—provides a comprehensive view of emerging technologies.
This year’s FIA, held from July 21-26, featured over 1,200 exhibitors and attracted more than 74,000 attendees, making it a central hub of industry activity.
Among the notable highlights, Turkish Airlines generated significant excitement with the introduction of their new business class product. As corporate travel is anticipated to increase in 2024, Turkish Airlines has raised the standard with a business class experience designed to redefine luxury in the skies. Their latest offering includes sleek, adjustable doors with privacy panels, setting a new benchmark for opulence in premium cabins.
In addition, Qatar Airways captivated the audience with their enhanced “Qsuite Next Gen,” which elevates in-flight entertainment. The revamped seats are equipped with fully swiveling monitors that convert seating arrangements into flexible, shared spaces, ideal for groups or couples seeking connection during their flight. The updated Qsuite, first introduced in 2017, now features retractable screens that allow passengers to create a communal viewing experience or an open-top “room” with sliding privacy doors, promising an interactive and customizable experience.
The Farnborough Airshow has clearly set a high standard for business class travel, with Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways leading the way into a new era of in-flight luxury.
